Hands Only CPR

In a life-threatening emergency, every second counts, and knowing how to perform Hands-Only CPR can make a critical difference. Hands-Only CPR is a simple and effective technique designed for anyone to help save a life during a cardiac arrest. Fitch-Rona EMS paramedics will teach you how to do Hands-Only CPR and use an AED. Bruce Landay Author Event - Electromagnetic Assault

Join local author, Bruce Landay, as he talks about his new near future military political thriller, Electromagnetic Assault. Bruce will read an excerpt from the novel, discuss his writing process for his books and weekly Substack column, and answer audience questions. ADRC Memory Screening

A memory screen is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory and creates a baseline so future changes can be monitored. Ellen Taylor, Dementia Care Specialist from the Aging and Disability Resource Center, will provide these free 20-minute, confidential memory screenings and will have information about memory, memory clinics, brain health, and local resources that are available. Please register at the Reference Desk on the second floor by stopping by or calling 608-729-1763.

Topics can include: • Tech basics, including but not limited to how to use a mouse, computer, smartphone, or tablet. • Signing up for and using an email account. • Using the Library's databases, including Consumer Reports and Ancestry. • Using the library LINKcat catalog. • Using Microsoft Word, Publisher, or Power Point formatting and template options. • Using Libby to download ebooks and audiobooks to your smartphone or tablet. • Have another question or topic you need help with?
