Rent a Park Facility

The City of Fitchburg has 10 park shelters that can be reserved for a fee (see fee schedule here) between May 1st - October 31st.  The closure of park shelters at the end of the season is weather dependent and might be earlier than the end of October.  

Reservations for each year can be made starting the first open business day in January either online or in person at the Recreation Office (5510 Lacy Road).  If you would like to rent a shelter in person, please fill out a Shelter Rental Application form and bring it to the Recreation Office.

Large Scale Festival Events: If your event is 1) in a city park, 2) open to the public, 3) requires a sound permit, 4) serves alcohol pursuant to an alcohol license, and 5) is not sponsored in whole or in part by the City, then an event application must be submitted to the Clerk's Department at least 60 days prior to your event. Please note: when making an online reservation request, fees will not be charged when submitting your request. Staff will review requests, and send an email notification when fees have been added to your reservation.  Shelter Reservation Fees.
