On Monday, January 19, 2026, at around 2:40 a.m., Fitchburg Police officers responded to a panic alarm at the Mobil gas station on Fish Hatchery Road and received reports of a man threatening to fight individuals inside the store.
Upon arrival, officers located and detained the individual, 30-year-old Marcus McGee of Fitchburg. An investigation revealed that McGee arrived at the gas station in a vehicle and backed into a concrete barrier in the parking lot. After entering the store, McGee created a disturbance and confronted a security guard in a threatening manner.
Officers suspected McGee to be under the influence of alcohol which prompted an OWI investigation. McGee has five prior OWIs and is currently on parole for a previous felony OWI conviction. McGee refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for OWI (6th offense), Operating After Revocation, Disorderly Conduct and a Parole Violation. No injuries were reported.
