At approximately 5:27 am Thursday, May 1, 2025, Dane County Public Safety Communications (911) notified the Fitchburg Fire Department of a structure fire at 2798 Endive Drive in the City of Fitchburg.
The first arriving fire personnel confirmed visible smoke. After investigating, flames started showing through the roof.
Fire was extinguished. The residents were displaced due to fire and water damage. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was contacted and is assisting with the residents who were displaced.
Two firefighters were evaluated by paramedics and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Assistance was received from the Fitchburg Police Department, FitchRona EMS, Madison Fire Department, Verona Fire Department, Oregon Fire Department and McFarland Fire Department.
The origin and cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Fitchburg Fire Investigators.
