On Saturday, November 4, 2017 at approximately 4:23 a.m., the Fitchburg Police Department responded to a commercial burglar alarm at O’Connell’s Liquor Store at 3064 Fish Hatchery Road. Responding officers discovered the front glass entry door had been smashed open with a cinder block and a burglary had occurred.
Surveillance footage showed a single suspect enter the store and steal several hundred dollars’ worth of alcohol and other merchandise before fleeing the scene. A Madison Police K9 unit assisted in attempting a track for the suspect but he was not immediately located.
The suspect was a light-skinned male, heavier set, and was wearing dark sweatpants and a dark hooded sweatshirt.
