On July 20, 2017, at 1:52 p.m., the Fitchburg Police Department, Fitchburg Fire Department, Fitchrona EMS, and UW Med Flight responded to the 6000 block of Sub Zero Way for a crash involving a single motorcycle.
The investigation revealed a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Sub Zero Way, at a high rate of speed. The operator lost control of the motorcycle and struck a curb. The motorcycle and operator continued eastbound in the terrace striking several trees and posts.
The operator was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. UW Med Flight transported the operator to a local hospital.
