On September 25th at approximately 11:00 PM, officers with the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Pike Dr for a report of shots fired.
The investigation revealed that a newer dark (black or blue) colored four door sedan stopped in the roadway on Pike Dr. Three occupants exited the vehicle and an altercation took place between two of the individuals. During this time a handgun was displayed and one round was fired. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Pike Dr and one of the passengers was observed fleeing the area on foot. One shell casing was recovered at the scene.
The three individuals were described as black males all having dreadlock style hair. One male wore a white t-shirt with a black vest over the shirt and another male wore a gray or light colored shirt with light colored jeans.
There were no reports of injuries and no arrests have been made.
