On April 3, 2016, at approximately 03:49 am, Fitchburg Officers responded to shots fired in the 1200 block of Whispering Pines Way.
Upon arrival, officers secured the area and discovered a male that had been shot in the leg. Fitch-Rona EMS responded and transported the male with a non-life threatening injury. Officers determined that shots had been fired into the apartment and then the suspect fled the scene.
