In 2025, the City of Fitchburg partnered with Eocene Environment Group and a variety of stakeholders to develop Moving Fitchburg Forestry Forward, the City’s first Strategic Urban Forestry Management Plan. This plan will serve as the roadmap for urban forestry efforts in Fitchburg over the next five years.
The draft plan is now available for public review at the link below. Community input is an important part of this process, and residents are encouraged to share comments and feedback before February 24, 2026.
