Ribbon-Cutting Marks Completion of Syene Road Reconstruction in Fitchburg
FITCHBURG, WI – November 7, 2025 – The City of Fitchburg is pleased to announce that the much-anticipated reconstruction of Syene Road is complete, and to celebrate this milestone a ribbon-cutting will be held to officially open the improved corridor on November 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
The project, which involved significant updates including pavement renewal, intersection enhancements, and corridor improvements from Aurora Avenue through East Cheryl Parkway, addressed safety, connectivity, and community growth in Fitchburg.

City leadership, project partners, and members of the public are invited to attend and view the transformation of this key roadway. With improved infrastructure, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, and upgraded utilities, the Syene Road corridor is now positioned to better serve residents, businesses, and visitors for years to come.
