The City of Fitchburg Police Department was contacted this morning by residents of our community reporting that concerning flyers had been distributed to homes in a residential neighborhood. In response to this activity, Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta provides the following statement:
"This morning, I was made aware that some residents in our city received flyers containing deeply disturbing and hateful language. Let me be clear: I strongly condemn this kind of speech. Hate has no place in our community, regardless of claims about free speech protections. We will not tolerate language or actions that target, intimidate, or seek to divide us. We are a city that values diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all. We stand united against hate."
