Details:
At approximately 11:20 a.m., a Fitchburg Police Officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly at Fish Hatchery Rd. and Greenway Cross. The vehicle ran multiple red lights and drove into oncoming traffic on Greenway Cross, endangering the safety of drivers and pedestrians in the area. FBPD officers attempted to stop the vehicle which fled from them into the City of Madison. The vehicle ran the red light at Prairie Rd. and Raymond Rd. striking two vehicles in the intersection. The driver of the suspect vehicle was arrested at the scene of the crash. The driver of the first vehicle struck was transported to the hospital with possible injuries. The driver of the second vehicle struck was uninjured.
Kareem Collins, 21, of Madison, was arrested and processed at the Dane County Jail on a Probation Violation. The Fitchburg Police Department will be referring the following charges to the Dane County District Attorney's Officer for Collins: Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Operating After Revoked, Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, along with numerous citations for traffic violations.
