Details: Around 2:21 a.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 2600 block of Post Road for a 911 call reporting a person had been stabbed. Responding officers located evidence of a stabbing in a parking lot but did not immediately locate a victim. Approximately fifteen minutes later, another 911 call led officers to a nearby business, where they found the stabbing victim.
Officers learned the victim, a 22-year-old female, had been stabbed outside of an apartment building in the 2600 block of Post Road and had started to get a ride to the hospital before stopping to call 911. EMS transported the victim to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening wounds. After speaking with the victim, officers returned to the scene near an apartment building in the 2600 block of Post Road. Officers were able to order the suspect to exit an apartment at the building and take her into custody.
The investigation so far has revealed an argument between the victim and suspect escalated into the suspect attacking the victim with a knife. The suspect, Pierra Henderson, was booked into the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Substantial Battery.
Officers from the Madison Police Department assisted at the scene where the victim was located.
