The City of Fitchburg Planning Department is hosting a Greenfield neighborhood meeting on draft land use concepts for the Greenfield Neighborhood Plan on Monday, April 22nd, at 5:30 pm at City Hall. The City of Fitchburg and MSA Professional Services (MSA), hired consultant, is developing a plan for the Greenfield Future Urban Development Area (FUDA). This process began in October 2023 and is planned to be completed by the end of 2024. To date, the City has held a public open house, three steering committee meetings, a Greenfield Neighborhood visioning meeting and a development specialist focus group.
Please join the City in a discussion about land use within the Greenfield neighborhood area (presentation from 5:30-6pm). MSA will overview input received to date and discuss two draft land use concepts for the Greenfield neighborhood area. MSA will also touch on potential land use policies that will help guide future development within the study area. After questions are answered, maps and exhibits will be available in an open house format with City staff and consultants available for questions and comments.
What happens next? Feedback from this meeting could alter the concepts prior to a public open house on May 7th (5:30-7pm) and an online survey (available from May 3rd – May 20th).
