Jensen Ecology has been contracted by the City of Fitchburg to restore a prairie at Wildwood Park South. As part of the restoration site prep, Jensen Ecology intends to burn the prairie in fall 2023 or spring 2024. Burn will be conducted when winds are favorable to not allow smoke onto Mutchler Road or the residences adjacent to the park. The exact date of the burn in not yet known due to weather uncertainties. The city will send out notifications the day of the burn.
