Details:
The Fitchburg Police Department was called to a downed tree blocking the road near the intersection of Irish Lane and South Syene Road around 6:30 AM. At this time, the road is closed for the safety of motorist while crews work to clear the obstruction. The road will remain closed for several hours affecting morning commuters, however is expected to be open for the evening commute. Motorist are asked to please avoid Irish Road to the East of S. Syene Road and take alternate routes.
