With respect to this ongoing winter weather system, Mayor Richardson has issued a Declaration of Emergency. This is a pre-emptive measure that (in the event a significant emergency response – or responses) will allow the city to activate the City's Emergency Operations Center, offer mutual aid and intergovernmental agreements without delay, and governmental and non-governmental support functions, among other things.
