On March 1, 2022, around 6:15 p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Thurston Lane for a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived on scene they contacted Edgar G. Ceballos Alfaro and determined he was involved in the disturbance. Edgar refused to cooperate and resisted when an officer attempted to detain him. During the struggle, one officer was injured and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The officer was treated and released.
Edgar was arrested and transported to the Dane County Jail on charges of resisting and obstructing officers causing a soft tissue injury, attempting to disarm a peace officer, and other charges related to the disturbance.
