On Tuesday July 7th, 2020, at approximately 1:54am, Officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 4000 block of W Clayton Rd for a reports of a shots fired incident.
Upon arrival, Officers located six casings in the roadway indicating there were two different firearms used in this incident. As officers canvassed the residences in the area, they located one house that had been struck by gunfire. The homeowner was contacted and found to be uninjured.
Preliminary investigation indicated that this was a targeted act and not a random shooting. No suspects have been identified as of this time.
