On Sunday, August 25, 2019, around 9:06 p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to a residence in the 2700 block of Lyman Lane for a caller who reported finding a deceased male. Responding officers confirmed a male was deceased in the residence.
The death of this male is currently being investigated as a homicide. As this is an active investigation, no further details, including the identity of the male, are available for release at this time.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting in the investigation. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning.
