On Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10:06 p.m., Fitchburg Police officers responded to the 4500 block of Thurston Lane for multiple calls reporting shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located shell casings and determined the shooting was related to a physical disturbance involving a group of females. At this time there are no injuries reported.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, 25-30 years old, with dreadlocks and possibly wearing a neck brace. The suspect reportedly fired towards the group involved in the physical disturbance and left the area in a van.
