On Wednesday May 9th at approximately 8:23 a.m. officers with the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 3000 block of Yarmouth Greenway Drive for a welfare check. Upon officers arrival they discovered two Fitchburg residents deceased. One being a 38 year old female and the other a 34 year old male.
Currently the Fitchburg Police Department is conducting a death investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. The deaths are not suspicious in nature and there is no threat to the community. The department is activity investigating this incident and all leads associated with it.
Assistance was provided by the Madison Police Department along with the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The individual’s names are being withheld at this time pending the notification of family members.
