On February 26th, 2018, at approximately 4:38 p.m. Fitchburg Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of County Highway MM and McCoy Road for a report of a two car accident with injuries. The injured occupants were transported to local hospitals with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The accident scene is clear and both County Highway MM and McCoy Road are open.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
The Fitchburg Police Department was assisted by the Town of Madison Police Department, Dane County Sheriff's Office, Fitchburg Fire Department, Fitchrona EMS and Town of Madison EMS.
