At approximately 4:48 a.m. on December 19th, Fitchburg Police Officers were dispatched to the 1900 Block of Pike Drive for a report of shots fired. Shortly after the initial call an adult male victim, who was not injured, was located and interviewed.
The victim explained there had been an argument inside an apartment which preceded the shooting which occurred on the street. The suspect was located, taken into custody, and booked into the Dane County Jail on a number of charges. The incident remains under investigation however there is no ongoing threat to the community at this time.
