Around 9:27 p.m. on December 14, Fitchburg Police Officers responded to the 5100 block of Anton Drive for a report of shots fired.
Responding officers located multiple shell casings in a driveway at the south end of the 5100 block of Anton Drive. Several residents were outside at the time of the incident and took cover while the shots were being fired. They reported seeing a male in the driveway firing several shots but were unable to provide a description of him. A gray or silver sedan was seen speeding away from the scene after the shots were fired and is possibly involved in the incident.
No property damage has been reported and officers, searching in the darkness, have yet to locate anything the fired rounds may have struck. No injuries have been reported.
