On July 25, 2017, at approximately 5 p.m., Officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were sent to the 5100 Block of Anton Drive for a report of shots fired. Initial indications are that an unknown suspect fired several shots from a vehicle stopped on Anton Drive. At this time it is unknown if there were any individuals in the area that the shots were being directed towards.
At this time there have been no injuries reported that are related to this incident. A K-9 track was conducted, however did not locate any suspect or evidence.
There is no further information available to be released at this time.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fitchburg Police Department or Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
