On June 6, 2017, at approximately 8 p.m., members of the Fitchburg Police Department were sent to the 2000 block of Greenway Cross for a report of several shots that had been fired in the area. When officers arrived on scene they conducted interviews of individuals on scene. A thorough check of the area did not result in the location of any damage to buildings or vehicles. At this time there have been no reports of any injuries.
At this point there is no reason to believe that this was a random act. If anyone observed anything related to this incident they are asked to contact the Fitchburg Police Department at 608-270-4300. The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information to release at this time.
