On July 25, 2016 at 3:22pm, the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 2900 block of King James Way for a report of shots fired from a vehicle that fled the scene. Officers responded and spoke with several witnesses of the event and determined that a passenger in a silver sedan fired 4-5 shots in the air as it passed through the 2900 block of King James Way. The driver of the vehicle was described as a black male with short dreadlocks in his hair.
No persons were struck by the rounds and one round was located on the roadway.
