On Tuesday, August 25th, Johnny R. Dunlap, 18, was booked at the Dane County Jail on one count of armed robbery. Dunlap was identified by a tipster after the initial release of surveillance images through news media and the Fitchburg Police Department's social media outlets.
Fitchburg Police received the information regarding Dunlap's identity on Friday, August 21st. He was located and arrested later that day on warrants issued through the Dane County Sheriff’s Office for an unrelated incident. He remained at the Dane County Jail through the weekend and was booked on the armed robbery charge following additional investigation.
