The City of Fitchburg’s Housing Plan 2026 is moving forward in the review and approval process. The draft plan is now available for public review and outlines strategies to address current and future housing needs across a range of housing types and income levels.
The Housing Plan serves as a guiding document to help inform City policies, programs, partnerships, and funding decisions related to housing. It does not approve specific developments, but provides a framework for supporting a diverse, stable, and sustainable housing supply in the years ahead.
Public feedback is welcome through February 20, 2026. Written comments may be submitted to Loreen Gage, Housing Initiatives & Programs Specialist, at loreen.gage@fitchburgwi.gov.
The plan will be discussed and considered at upcoming public meetings in March and April, with final consideration by the Common Council anticipated in April. All meetings will be livestreamed on FACTv.
