[ARCHIVED] Warming Locations in Fitchburg & Cold Weather Resources

As temperatures drop, cold weather can create serious safety risks for residents. Taking a few simple precautions can help prevent injuries, protect homes, and keep everyone safe during extreme winter conditions. City officials encourage residents to stay informed and prepare ahead for cold weather events. 

Warming Locations

The City of Fitchburg has identified the following as warming locations: 

  • City Hall, 5520 Lacy Rd., (during regular operating hours) 
  • Public Library, 5530 Lacy Rd., (during regular operating hours) 
  • Senior Center & Community Center, 5510 Lacy Rd., (during regular operating hours)

Water Main Emergency 

If you notice water bubbling out of the ground, please call 608-270-4279. Water main breaks generally occur in the winter months but can also occur throughout the year. If you experience a significant change in pressure or have water quality concerns, please call 608-270-4270. https://www.fitchburgwi.gov/247/Emergency
