[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Prohibited in City Parks

No Fireworks

As we gear up for summer celebrations and gatherings, the City of Fitchburg would like to remind all residents and visitors that fireworks are strictly prohibited in all city parks.

While fireworks may seem like a festive addition to any occasion, they pose significant safety risks to people, pets, and wildlife, and can cause damage to park facilities and natural habitats.

If fireworks go up or go boom, it is illegal and unsafe.

We understand the excitement fireworks can bring, but it is important to prioritize the safety and well-being of all park visitors and the preservation of our public spaces. We encourage you to consider attending professionally organized fireworks displays as a safe and legal alternative.

To report on fireworks-related activity, please contact the Fitchburg Police Department at (608) 270-4300.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep Fitchburg parks safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for your understanding.
