American Transmission Company (ATC) will begin tree clearing and trimming activities this week, March 3, 2025. This is a two-phase project with the second phase of this project scheduled to begin in summer 2025.
This project schedule is in response to the early presence of Oak wilt, an environmental factor that impacts when ATC can trim oak trees. To ensure the safe, reliable operation of transmission lines, ATC will conduct the necessary work prior to the oak wilt moratorium.
ATC works to minimize community and environmental impacts with its projects as much as possible, while also ensuring communities have safe and reliable electrical power.
