Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta Appointed to the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Board of Directors
Fitchburg, WI – October 2024 – Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta of Fitchburg has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. This appointment recognizes Mayor Arata-Fratta’s leadership and commitment to advancing the interests of cities and villages across the state of Wisconsin.
Founded in 1898, the League of Wisconsin Municipalities is a nonprofit organization that helps Wisconsin cities and villages share ideas, learn from one another, and access critical training and information. The League also advocates on behalf of municipalities before the Wisconsin Legislature, Governor, and state agencies.
Mayor Arata-Fratta expressed her enthusiasm for this new role: “It is an honor to be part of this board, representing our city, and learning from and interacting with other municipalities. I look forward to advocating for the issues that impact cities and villages throughout Wisconsin.”
As a member of the board, Mayor Arata-Fratta will collaborate with municipal leaders from across the state to address common challenges, share best practices, and ensure that local governments have a strong voice in state-level discussions.
