The Fitchburg City Clerk’s office has mailed absentee ballots to 1,644 voters for the April 2 Spring Election.
Absentee ballots must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarked ballots do not count.
The state has revised its absentee envelope design. Voters will notice that the envelopes are not printed with colorful ink. Each highlighted section on the envelope must be completed. In order for an absentee ballot to count, the absentee envelope must be:
- Sealed
- Signed by the voter.
- Signed by the voter’s witness.
- Complete with the printed name of the voter’s witness.
- Filled out with the witness’ address.
