Incident Details:
On January 1, at 1:50 a.m., Fitchburg Police Officers responded to the 5100 block of Anton Drive, for a weapons violation. Officers were advised of a single suspect that had fired three rounds in the area. Witnesses were able to describe the suspect to officers and provide officers the suspect’s last known direction.
Officers were able to locate the suspect and safely took the suspect into custody.
One of the rounds that was fired by the suspect went through the wall of an occupied apartment. There were no injuries reported during the incident.
The Fitchburg Police Department was assisted by the Verona Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
