On Monday, April 20th, 2020, at approximately 3:48 p.m. officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were dispatched to the area near CTH M and Wendt Rd for a report of an accident, with injuries, involving a dump truck and a bicyclist. Officers arrived on scene and learned the bicyclist had non-life threatening injuries but was transported to the hospital by Fitchrona EMS. The driver of the dump truck was not injured, remained on scene, and was cooperative with the investigation. No citations will be issued. A Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on scene first and assisted with the investigation.
