On March 15, at 8:27 P.M., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were dispatched to an accident in the 6200 block of Nesbitt Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that a sedan was traveling north on Nesbitt Road, left the roadway, then hit a power pole and a concrete wall. The driver and only occupant was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The accident caused a power outage on the west side of Fitchburg and parts of Madison.
