On December 21, 2019 at 9:56pm, officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were called to Capitol Petro Mart, at 2770 S Syene Rd, for an armed robbery. The investigation revealed two suspects wearing masks entered the store, pointed handguns at an employee and demanded money. The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Fitchburg Police Department K9 Unit attempted a track but the suspects were not located. The Town of Madison Police Department also assisted with this incident.
The investigation is ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.
