On Thursday, July 11, 2019, at 4:36 p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were sent to the area of Post Road and Traceway Drive for a report of a juvenile with a handgun. The investigation revealed that a male and a female juvenile were involved in a verbal disturbance and the male juvenile drew a handgun and pointed it at the female.
A 13-year-old male juvenile, was arrested at the scene for recklessly endangering safety and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
A second 13-year-old male juvenile, was arrested in the City of Madison for carrying a concealed weapon and was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center. There were no injuries related to this incident.
The City of Madison Police Department and the Town of Madison Police Department assisted with this investigation.
