Fitchburg Utilities Fall Hydrant Flushing will start on Monday, Oct. 1st and will finish on Friday, Oct. 12th. Flushing will occur M-F from 8 am to 3 pm. Due to the flushing, water may be temporarily discolored. Discoloration can be cleared by opening the cold water tap to full flow for a few minutes. Please do laundry in the evening when water is clear to avoid damage to clothes.
