On Monday, July 9, 2018, at 2:15 a.m., Fitchburg Police officers responded to the 4500 block of Thurston Lane for multiple calls reporting shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings and determined the shots were fired at a specific apartment. The targeted apartment was occupied at the time of the incident but no injuries were reported.
Witnesses described the suspects as two black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts. They were last seen running from the area.
