On April 1, 2018, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Fitchburg police officers responded to the 2600 block of Post Rd for a report of a stabbing. Officers located the victim, who had non-life threatening injuries as a result of being attacked with a knife. Officers received information that the suspect was still inside the apartment building where the incident occurred. Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrest her without incident.
This was not a random act as the suspect and victim knew each other. The suspect was booked into Dane County jail under tentative charges of disorderly conduct while armed, substantial battery while armed, and recklessly endangering safety while armed.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information to provide at this time.
