On January 25, 2018 at 3:00 pm, the Fitchburg Police Department, on behalf of the Dane County Chiefs of Police Association, will be holding a press conference addressing the county-wide motor vehicle theft crime trend. The conference will address the efforts law enforcement agencies have made and will continue to make to combat motor vehicle theft across Dane County, including outreach efforts to area community groups. The conference will provide prevention and safety advice for citizens to reduce the possibility of becoming a victim of motor vehicle theft. Finally, there will be opportunity to express concerns or ask questions regarding motor vehicle theft in Dane County.
